Roslin Castle
(Trad. Scottish)
Both of these tunes appear as a set on Alasdair Fraser’s CD “Return to Kintail.” He is a wonderful fiddler and has been an inspiration for many years. Roslin Castle was written sometime before 1736 when it was included in a collection of tunes, compiled by James Oswald. Miss Gordon of Gight was composed by Issac Cooper of Banff, Scotland around 1790.
